ONE DELAYED FLIGHT. 180 CLAIMS. ONE DECISION.

Munich, 12 October 2026.
JUNE for Airlines manages passenger claims flight by flight, including the claims still to come.

One decision per flight. Applied to every claim that lands on it,  today and in the future.

Passenger claims have become a mass business. Claim portals make it easier than ever for passengers to file for compensation under EU261. When a flight is delayed or cancelled, the whole cabin is affected, and many passengers miss their connections. A single delayed flight can trigger dozens, sometimes hundreds, of near-identical claims.

For airlines, this creates a costly dilemma. Each claim is small, so reviewing it properly often costs more than paying it. Paying without review, however, opens the door to duplicate payouts and abuse. On top of that, working out what actually happened on a flight has often meant querying customer service, booking and payment systems separately for every single case.

This is the gap JUNE for Airlines closes:

Building on years of AI-driven case management that already helps airlines resolve claims with minimal effort, JUNE for Airlines takes the next step: the flight itself becomes the unit of work. Every flight is identified by its flight number, date and departure airport. As soon as a claim comes in, JUNE links it to the right flight. Every further claim for the same flight joins the same flight cluster automatically. Legal teams decide once per flight, and JUNE applies that decision to every linked claim, including claims filed weeks later.

“Set flight XY123 on 3 March to ‘do not contest’.”
One Handling Instruction is enough. Every claim already linked to the flight carries the instruction, and so does every claim that arrives later. Whoever opens a case file sees right away which flight it belongs to and how the flight is being handled.

“Air traffic control strike on Friday. Create all affected flights now.”
Flights can be created before the first claim arrives. When the wave of claims comes in, every matching claim attaches to its flight automatically, and the strategy is already in place.

“What actually happened on this flight?”
Delays and delay codes, cancellations, passenger and boarding information, aircraft work orders and customer communications are shown together in one structured flight view. Whether a case can be defended becomes clear at a glance.

“Contest all claims for the delayed rotation between Munich and Barcelona.”
Handling Instructions can be set for several flights at once. Legal teams manage their strategy across flights, routes and legs instead of case by case.

“Show me everyone who has filed for this flight.”
Every claim linked to a flight appears in one list, with opposing party, court, case handler, status and claim amount. The legal team sees the full picture of a flight at a glance.

Passenger-specific checks, such as whether a passenger was informed in time, remain possible at any point. JUNE for Airlines covers delays, cancellations and denied boarding.

Katja Nikolaus, Founder and CBDO of JUNE

“We have already seen how strong the impact of automation and AI is in day-to-day case work. Today, case handlers can already focus on their legal expertise rather than on administration. Now we are giving the strategic approach massive support as well. JUNE for Airlines means one well-founded decision per flight, applied consistently to every claim. That turns a wave of lawsuits into a handful of decisions.”

Christian Häp, Founder and CTO of JUNE

“A flight is the natural unit for passenger claims, so we made it a first-class entity in JUNE. Legal teams shouldn’t have to review the same flight multiple times. They decide once, and JUNE applies that decision to every claim that lands on that flight, including the ones still to come.”

Flight data from any source

JUNE for Airlines is designed to work with whatever flight data an airline has: its own systems and data interfaces, commercial flight data providers or manually maintained flight information. Whatever the source, JUNE presents the data in one standardised flight view.
